Through the year
North Sound is generally driven by easterly trade winds, with seasonal shifts created by winter fronts and summer tropical waves.

Warm conditions with a more variable pattern as Cayman moves toward the wet season. Expect a mix of trade-wind days, lighter spells and developing showers.
East to southeast winds are common, often strengthened after tropical waves pass. Conditions can be excellent, but showers and short-lived squalls become more frequent.
Often the least consistent period for wind, with September typically among the calmer months. It is also hurricane season, so official forecasts and alerts matter.
